How to Counter Giving Up

By Merlyn Brandon on December 9, 2012 in Tips for Your Day

man and van LondonThe universal question of how not to give up is asked by every single person in the world, when they reach a certain age. Although the answer lies within themselves, they can not see or understand it, before their time. Normally people are subjected to all kinds of challenges, hoping that they will overcome all of them by knowing the way to counter giving up.

A good explanation of how this method works is this. Imagine yourself in an operation room. One of the doctors is giving you a shout of a painkiller compound, while the other is twisting your arm, displacing your bones at the same time. Which one of these pains will you feel? The mind overwrites and suppresses lesser feelings and senses if stronger ones are applied at the same time.

How bad can things get for people? Having to live alone or relocating, because parents don’t want you? Having to pay all those bills, for removal firm London, for provisions, for the essentials? Hearth break? Suicide? You name it… Some of them are so bad that literally having nothing sounds like a good idea. In this case, there is no reason for existing. How can there be any hope then?

The human mind works in a way that it believes what it wants to believe and makes it happen for the body. Giving up sounds like a pretty good idea in tough times. Looking at it from another angle, life is given to people only once. The chances of being born are actually stunningly low. What awaits after death is unknown. That leaves the person with the only thing he has – life. If he is to fight for something, then that’s all the delusion the mind needs to give the body strength to fight for it.

Giving up is loosing the reason. Finding another reason is exactly what has to be done to counter the despair. Imagining the good possibilities in life – a family, a person who cares for other, moving away with them. Money will then be nowhere near that big of an issue, nor paying for the man with van London services, nor even surviving in the society. Everyone is afraid of being left alone.

The strongest memories and the biggest motivation are shown trough emotions. If there is no one left to fight for, fight for yourself then. Knowing how reckless people are, and how selfless they can be, if not themselves then for other people like them. There will always be someone or something to fight for. The key is finding out what it is.
